How to request deletion of your Kuppiya account and associated data

  1. Log in to your Kuppiya account at kuppiya.net (or use the Kuppiya mobile app).
  2. Contact us with your account deletion request:
    • Email: uniqueskillslk@gmail.com
    • Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request – Kuppiya
    • Include the email address associated with your Kuppiya account.
  3. We will confirm your identity and process your request within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days).
  4. You will receive confirmation once your account and associated data have been deleted.

What we delete and what we keep

Data we delete

  • Your account (email, display name, profile image)
  • Authentication data (passwords, tokens)
  • Your exam results and performance history
  • Your bookmarks, watchlist, and exam bookmarks
  • Your short notes and flashcards
  • Your forum posts, comments, and likes
  • Study group memberships and related activity
  • Notifications and preferences
  • Badges, XP, and gamification data tied to your account

Data we may keep (anonymized or for legal reasons)

  • Anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you (e.g. exam statistics, platform analytics).
  • Backups may retain your data for a short retention period (e.g. up to 90 days) before being overwritten; we do not use this for any purpose other than recovery.
  • Legal obligations (e.g. tax, disputes) where we are required to retain certain records by law.

Retention period

After we process your deletion request, your personal data is removed from our active systems. Any data in backups is deleted or overwritten within our backup retention period (typically up to 90 days). Data retained for legal obligations is kept only as long as required by law.
